At a glance
Accessibility should be checked against your actual needs: steps, distances, transfers, bathrooms, treatment rooms, communication and fatigue. A broad accessibility label cannot answer all of these questions.
Ask for specific evidence
Request photographs or measurements of relevant features and the route between your room, dining and programme spaces. Ask about lifts, gradients, vehicle access and accessible bathroom layouts.
Adapt the programme too
Check whether activities can be modified and whether a companion or support person can join. Clarify any extra charges and the availability of equipment. Access to a room is not the same as access to the whole experience.
Confirm before paying
Get agreed arrangements in writing and identify a contact who owns them. Discuss what happens if a promised feature is unavailable on arrival. Choose a provider that answers detailed questions clearly.
